🚀 Quick Start

We'll walk you through the process of setting up your board game stream using the PawnTown platform. This guide will help you get started in less than 10minutes.

Prerequisites

Before you start, make sure you have:

• A Pawn Town account
• The White Pawn app installed on your device

Step 1: Generate a Streaming Token

1. Sign In: Log into your Pawn Town account.
2. Access Settings: Click on your account at the top right corner, navigate to Settings, and then go to the Stream section.
3. Generate Token:
   • If you haven’t already created a token, click on Generate New Token.
   • Once your token is generated, click on the QR code icon to get your QR code.

Step 2: Use the White Pawn App to Scan the Token

1. Open the App: Launch the White Pawn app.
2. Navigate: On the home screen, tap the PawnTown card at the top right corner.
3. Scan QR Code:
   • Go to the sign-in screen and select Scan Token QR Code.
   • Use your device's camera to scan the QR code displayed on the PawnTown site.
4. Confirmation: Once scanned, you should see your streaming URL at the bottom. Ensure that it shows a green status and your username on the Home Screen.

Step 3: Configure Streaming Options

1. Enhancements:
   • Enable Auto Position Enhancements for better visual quality.
   • Turn on Live Evaluation to display an evaluation bar during your stream.
2. Notation Settings: Set the move notation to your display preference.

Step 4: Set Up Your Chessboard

1. Choose a Compatible Chessboard: Visit whitepawn.app for a list of compatible chessboards.
2. Turn On Chessboard: Power on your compatible chessboard.
3. Connect the Chessboard:
   • In the White Pawn app, go to the Chessboard section.
   • If it’s your first time, tap the small plus icon in the upper right corner, search your chessboard, and connect.

Step 5: Start Streaming

1. Open Stream Dialog:
   • In WhitePawn on the home screen, click on the PawnTown Card, and choose Start Sharing.
   • Select Open the Stream Board to view the chessboard and clock that will be streamed.
2. Customize Player Names: Adjust the player names as necessary.

Step 6: Go Live on Pawn Town

1. Open PawnTown Stream: Confirm you're streaming by opening your profile, and clicking on "Join Livestream"
2. Play!: Begin your game; your moves will be automatically updated and displayed on the Pawn Town website.
